While Africa is far from unusual for a wildlife holiday, an ocean safari in Mozambique is surprisingly off many travellers’ radars. From colossal whale sharks, five of the world’s seven species of sea turtle, graceful Manta rays and the largest dugong population in the region, this is a marine odyssey guaranteed to amaze. And on our Mozambique tours, you’ll explore Ponta do Ouro, known in Portuguese as the “tip of Gold” which lies on the Mozambique Channel, just north of the border with South Africa. Here, your group will visit the family-run Dolphin Centre, which supports research and conservation of Dolphins in the region while also allowing small groups to swim with the Dolphins. During the months between July to November, there may be opportunities to spot migrating humpback whales too.
